Transformation
So this semester is the semester in which I decided I’m going to become a man.
There will be a lot of fundamental changes in my lifestyle, and I hope everything (academics/social/spiritual/emotional) aspects of my life balance out! Just a list of what I’m gonna do.
- Decided to double major in Public Health/Psych (hope i get in!) along with intended pre-med.
- My courseload is very weird. Need to talk to advisor before having a final schedule. Tentatively itll be Bio1A/1AL. Chem 3AL. Anthro 1. SS breadth for PH
- Reminder for myself: Need to take ME std 20 next semester for L&S breadth. 3B/3BL in the summer (tentative)
- I am going to get more involved in my fellowship (SG leading/hanging out with class). I definitely fell off track last semester as it was extremely tough and I think I’ve allotted for the right time to get it back.
- Hang out with friends! Given.
- Strength Building. Still researching with program to go with, but I’m gonna get serious (starting today!) about getting stronger / more fit for DB & life. Plan: Lift MWF, Sprints/Stairs/Cardio (or just DB practice) T/Th, DB water practice Sat/Sun.
- Diet : Dam. Life is gonna suck. Getting serious about strength building = diet. 5-7 mini meals a day. Cooking and shopping for groceries is definitely time consuming. :/ Already started. 240g protein for chicken + 2 heads of iceberg lettuce + cucumber for 2 days. 8 meals (not including breakfast)
- reminder for self again : need to buy tons of eggs and this Kashi protein cereal for breakfast. Take bananas from crossroads haha.
- Sleep. Sleep by midnight (1 latest). Trying to get 8 hours a day for maximum benefits.
- WORK. Trying to get a job to make some money for HK. Also great for experience + networking + resume building. want in healthcare/med/psych field.
- Volunteering. Trying to replace work with volunteering. Just dont see that positive of an outlook with Alta Bates + doesnt look TOO good on my resume with the constant influx of people doing it. We’ll see how that works out.
- WATER. drinking tons of water now. Aids in metabolism, hydration, and all that good stuff. Im peeing a lot (no yellow!) YES.
- Sunscreen. As per request of a certain someone. Apply before WP, aloe after WP. Dont want dat skin cancer (which i might get… stupid sunburns)
- Poker / COD. I figured I needed something to give myself a break. Since I’ve been dying to play COD for like a year now, I torrented it. SO FUN AND RELIEVING.
I really think thats it for now! COOLBEANS. looks like its gonna be a good semester
